Privacy notice for playcommongrounds.com
This website, playcommongrounds.com, is operated by Common Elements Inc. (“Common Elements”, “we”), based in Florida, USA. Common Grounds is a game Common Elements is developing. This notice covers this website and its updates signup. The game itself isn’t available yet; it will have its own privacy notice when it is.
What the signup collects
When you join the updates list, we store:

| Consent record | The date and time you signed up and which version of the consent wording you saw. |
| Hashed network address | A one-way, keyed hash of your IP address, used only to stop automated abuse and limit repeated attempts. We do not store your IP address itself. |
The consent wording shown next to the form (version 2026-10-02) is: “Email me about Common Grounds: development news and early-access invitations from Common Elements. No other use, and I can ask to be removed at any time.”
We don’t ask for your name, and this website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Why we collect it
To email you news about Common Grounds, such as development updates and invitations to test the game, and to see which platforms people want so we can plan testing. We don’t use your address for anything else, we don’t add it to other Common Elements mailing lists, and we don’t sell or rent it.
We don’t send a confirmation email when you sign up. Future emails will include a way to unsubscribe.
Who handles it
The signup is stored in a database hosted for us by Supabase, and this website is hosted by Vercel, both in the United States. They process data on our behalf to provide those services. Like most web hosts, Vercel also keeps short-term technical request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We would share information only if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your signup until you ask us to remove it, or until we retire the Common Grounds updates list, whichever comes first. If the list is retired, we delete it.
Your choices
To unsubscribe, delete your signup, see what we hold about you, or correct it, email privacy@commonelements.com from the address you signed up with (or tell us which address it is). We’ll act on your request promptly and confirm when it’s done. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we’ll honor them.
Children
The updates list is not intended for children under 13, and they should not sign up. If we learn that a child under 13 has signed up, we will delete the signup.
Changes
If we change what the signup collects or how we use it, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and we’ll update the consent wording and its version shown by the form.
